17.13.0 → 17.13.1

🌿 Generated with Fern

Note

Medium Risk
Adds batch and versioning APIs plus FHIR2OMOP request/response shape changes; credential builders lose grantType and clients should call close() for owned HTTP resources—possible compile-time and runtime behavior shifts for integrators.

Overview
17.13.1 is a Fern-regenerated Java SDK bump (generator 4.21.1, spec commit updated) with new API surface and a few client lifecycle/auth tweaks.

The largest functional addition is client.lang2FhirBatch() — create/list jobs, upload items, finalize/cancel, and paginated status/results for async lang2fhir processing. Lang2FHIR multi/document requests gain optional primaryPatient (identifier, name, birthDate, gender); patientReference remains as a deprecated alias for primary_patient.identifier and must not be combined with primaryPatient. detectionEffort is documented as deprecated. Document endpoints’ types/docs now include RTF and XML/C-CDA (dedicated-instance limits) and additional CreateRequestResource values.

FHIR→OMOP CreateOmopRequest adds optional vocabVersion; generated types and docs reflect broader mapping (e.g. observation_period, provider/location/care_site rows, richer mappings/diagnostics, US Core demographics behavior). Implementation guides add createVersion / getVersion; profiles add a versions sub-client (list/create/get/delete retained StructureDefinition versions) with updated create/update/delete semantics in docs.

Client infrastructure: PhenomlClient / AsyncPhenomlClient implement AutoCloseable and delegate to ClientOptions.close() (shuts down owned OkHttp only). Credential auth no longer exposes configurable grantType — OAuth uses fixed client_credentials. instanceUrl no longer overwrites a non-default custom environment. Minor fixes: null header values skipped, SDK name header corrected, crosswalk errors map 500 to InternalServerError instead of 502/503/501 types.

Changelog entry for 17.13.1 is header-only in this diff (prior 17.13.0 notes remain below it).

Stream uploads omit required multipart fields

Medium Severity

The uploadItem stream overloads only send the file part and ignore document, create, request_id, and id. The batch API requires exactly one of document or create, so stream uploads fail validation. The unused file argument is also dropped if both a file and a stream are supplied.
