Outcome

Recover the complete source region of an already-abandoned table proposal when one caption and exactly three complete, contiguous, equal-width filled rule bands provide unambiguous bounds. This includes multiline header text while excluding adjacent prose.

Boundaries

• Proposal and document-map region selection only. No inferred table cells, topology or header authority.
• Ordinary Markdown and its existing gap reporting remain unchanged.
• Incomplete paint evidence, competing marks, ambiguous captions and straddling text fall back to the existing region.
• Source/share renderer parity is exact. Generated oracle changes are exclusively source provenance; semantic oracle cases are unchanged.

Verification

• macOS arm64, Node 22.23.2, one worker: 208/208 across nine focused/adjoining suites including real conversion, document maps, proposal/verifier replay and Phase-1 oracle/scorer/generation tests.
• Fresh retained real-PDF parse: two missing header items recovered, 14 prose items excluded, exact 38-item envelope; unchanged Markdown/gaps and deterministic document-map replay. Private source/evidence is not included in this PR.
• New synthetic hostiles cover competing paint, incomplete geometry, ambiguous captions, text straddling and stale proposal membership.
• Independent adversarial source review PASS at 35ef51d. Its competing-paint finding was corrected before final review.

This does not establish full table reconstruction or a benchmark improvement. Full horizontal-rule table recovery remains separate work.
