Using the Shepherd VM

What you need

1. A Hyper-visor to run your VM. (Virtual Box recommended but any will work)
2. The Latest Security Shepherd VM Downloaded

Setting up the VM

1. Import the Security Shepherd VM into Virtual box
2. Before starting the VM, ensure the Network Adapter has been configured to suit you
   2.1 Bridged Adapter - You want this if you plan on other machines on your network being able to access your Shepherd VM
   2.2 Host Only Adapter - You want this if you do not want to expose Shepherd on any of your networks you connect to
   2.3 NAT - You probably do not want this as you will not be able to access the Shepherd from a browser on your host machine. This could be used as a second adapter to enable internet access.
3. Start the VM
4. Sign in with the default credentials included in the VM Download .txt file
5. Change the password by running: passwd
6. Find out the machines IP address by running: ifconfig
7. On your host machine, point your browser to https://yourIpHere/
8. Sign in with the default admin / password credentials and update the password in the following prompt
9. You're Done!
