Summary

  • Org policy blocks Actions from creating/approving PRs (peter-evans/create-pull-request failed in run #2).
  • On form drift, the workflow now force-pushes chore/sync-cncf-form and writes a compare link into the job summary for a maintainer to open the PR by hand.
  • Drops pull-requests: write since it is no longer needed.

Test plan

  • Merge this PR
  • Run Sync CNCF application form via workflow_dispatch
  • If there is upstream drift: confirm chore/sync-cncf-form is pushed and the job summary includes a compare URL
  • If there is no drift: confirm the job succeeds without pushing
  • Open a PR from the compare link and verify the sync commit contents

Made with Cursor

Org policy blocks GitHub Actions from creating pull requests. Push
chore/sync-cncf-form and link a compare URL in the job summary so a
maintainer can open the PR manually.
