Summary

Adds a tested, beginner-friendly recipe for connecting a remote Open Brain-compatible MCP server to the Google Antigravity desktop app.

The guide explains why Antigravity is used instead of the Gemini app, provides a generic remote MCP configuration example, and walks readers through saving and retrieving a test memory.

What it includes

  • Generic configuration using placeholders for the Supabase project reference and Open Brain key
  • A security warning not to publish keys, tokens, endpoints, or other credentials
  • Steps to restart Antigravity and verify that the open-brain MCP server is enabled
  • A test capture workflow followed by a read-only memory search
  • Expected outcome and troubleshooting guidance

Requirements

  • A working Open Brain setup
  • A remotely deployed Open Brain-compatible MCP server
  • Google Antigravity
  • The server’s endpoint URL, required authentication-header name, and a private Open Brain key

Validation

Tested on my own Open Brain instance:

  • Confirmed that Antigravity loaded the remote MCP server
  • Confirmed that a test memory could be saved through the MCP server
  • Confirmed that the same test memory could be retrieved with a read-only search
  • Removed personal endpoint values, credentials, local paths, and identifying screenshots from the contribution

Detailed instructions for connecting a custom Open Brain MCP server to Google Antigravity, including prerequisites, configuration steps, expected outcomes, and troubleshooting tips.
Metadata for Google Antigravity MCP setup, including author, version, requirements, tags, difficulty, and estimated time.
