Slurm Init previously added the remote shallower image even when importer integration or shallow storage was disabled. Exercise the actual acquisition branch with absent, empty, false and true flags, including remote opt-out and an unconfigured image. Additional guards prove disabled/capability-unavailable paths neither access canonical inputs/contact HPC nor request a shallow importer operation.
Companion production fix: scripts #50, commit fb4aa92. This follows the already merged test PR #52. Merge this into test-suite, then rerun #50 to exercise the new regression in CI. Never merge the harness into a deployable scripts branch. The initialization assertion is capability-gated for older source.
Validation: initialization regression first failed in four disabled/default cases, then all eight cases passed with the fix. Full feature harness: 386 passed, 7 skipped; unchanged current master (6ac69de): 330 passed, 63 skipped. Skips reflect unavailable feature capabilities and existing platform exclusions. The production script directories compile and diff checks pass.
