Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to Package teardown is a useful addition, but the documented disable workflow does not match the CLI version the repository uses. Until the CLI is bumped, users may still hit blocked publishes. Tables declared with a name that differs from their accessor would also not be emptied. Align the docs and fix the table-name registration before merging. 🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 4 | ❓ 1❌ Failed checks (1 inconclusive)

Align the documented workflow with the pinned CLI.
The pinned CLI does not yet run teardown_package. With populated Package tables, packages disable can move the folder without clearing those rows, and the next publish can stop. Bump .lyracore-cli-rev to a CLI version that implements teardown before documenting this behavior, or describe the current behavior until that bump.
The PR objectives state that the pinned CLI does not yet run teardown.

Reconcile the table totals.
Line 64 reports 288 tables, but the heading says 285 and the domain rows total 287. Update the aggregate count and inventory rows so readers can reproduce the reported total.

SpacetimeDB 2.7.1 Rust table_id_from_name table name accessor API
💡 Result:
In **SpacetimeDB 2.7.1**, the Rust crate has a `spacetimedb::table_id_from_name(&str) -> TableId` function. It looks up a table’s ID by name and **panics if the table doesn’t exist**. It is marked `#[doc(hidden)]`, so it’s not a stable, documented public API to rely on. ([docs.rs](https://docs.rs/spacetimedb/2.7.1/src/spacetimedb/lib.rs.html))
For ordinary table access, use the generated accessor, e.g. `ctx.db.my_table()`. ([docs.rs](https://docs.rs/spacetimedb/2.7.1/src/spacetimedb/lib.rs.html))

SpacetimeDB 2.7.1 exact spacetimedb::sys::table_id_from_name implementation source
💡 Result:
In **SpacetimeDB 2.7.1** (release commit `8ecd3c3`), `spacetimedb::sys::table_id_from_name` is declared as a **WASM host import**, not implemented in Rust in that file:
```rust
pub fn table_id_from_name(name: *const u8, name_len: usize, out: *mut TableId) -> u16;
```
It’s in the `spacetime_10.0` import block. The accompanying docs say it looks up the table ID for a UTF-8 name, writes the ID to `out`, and can return `NOT_IN_TRANSACTION` or `NO_SUCH_TABLE`; invalid pointers, out-of-bounds memory, or invalid UTF-8 trap. ([github.com](https://github.com/clockworklabs/SpacetimeDB/blob/8ecd3c3/crates/bindings-sys/src/lib.rs))
So if by “exact implementation” you mean the lookup logic itself, it is **not established by this Rust declaration**—that runs on the SpacetimeDB host side. The cited source is pinned to the 2.7.1 release commit, not `master`; the release identifies that commit as `8ecd3c3`. ([github.com](https://github.com/clockworklabs/SpacetimeDB/releases?utm_source=openai))

Register the effective table name for package teardown.
table_accessors records only accessor = ... values. teardown_package passes those values to spacetimedb::sys::table_id_from_name, which resolves the table by its UTF-8 table name in SpacetimeDB 2.7.1. If name differs from accessor, the lookup returns NO_SUCH_TABLE; clear_table treats that result as success, so the table rows remain and package removal can be refused during publish.
Update table_accessors to return the explicit name when present and the accessor otherwise. Preserve the current behavior for tables without an explicit name, and add a regression case where the two values differ.

A publish that removes a table refuses while the table holds rows, so a disabled Package with rows stopped the next publish. Its Characters also stayed live in Core tables with no code to drive them. teardown_package runs on one Shard. It makes the Package's Characters Dormant Characters, empties every table the Package declares, deletes its Package Config, and records the Package in game_package_teardown. build.rs now lists each Package's tables in GAME_PACKAGES and wraps each Package registration, so a torn-down Package's hooks, tick passes, encounter handlers and client command stop until a build without it runs. The tick then forgets the record, so an enabled Package starts fresh. A Package's Characters are those on Accounts it owns on the Shard plus the guids its new game_package_characters! read returns. That read covers Characters that crossed from another Shard and Characters on Accounts made before Package-owned Accounts. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

Package Teardown empties a table by its accessor. A table with its own name would keep its rows and stop the next publish. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

A publish cannot remove a table that still holds rows. So when a developer disabled playerbots on a Realm with bots, the next publish stopped. The bots also stayed in Core tables: live entities with nobody to move them, consent rows and Intents.
The maintainer decided that turning a Package off keeps its Accounts and Characters. This PR adds Package Teardown, which Core runs for any Package.
teardown_package(name)is an Operator reducer. On one Shard, in one transaction, it does four things:build.rsreads the#[table]accessors from the Package's source and lists them in the generatedGAME_PACKAGES.class_defaults_revisionkey would stop it from seeding its kit again when it comes back.game_package_teardown.build.rswraps every Package hook, tick pass, encounter handler and client command, so a recorded Package stops writing. Without this, the playerbots tick refills its tables within half a second. The first tick of a build without the Package forgets the record, so an enabled Package starts fresh.Core finds a Package's Characters on Accounts the Package owns on the Shard. A Package can name more through the new
game_package_characters!marker. playerbots needs it for two cases: bots that crossed from another Shard, and bots on Accounts made before Package-owned Accounts (PLAYERBOT000and up). Those older Accounts have no ownership row. They come through the roster and get the same Dormant treatment, and their Accounts stay.Teardown refuses while one of those Characters has a Transfer escrow row or a claimed Transfer Intent, because the escrow blob names the Package's tables. A Character with a World Session is never touched. CONTEXT.md records the decision and adds Package Teardown and Dormant Character. The Package API doc, changelog and development CLI doc describe the off path. Gateway bindings are regenerated for the new table and reducer.
A Package table must keep its accessor as its table name. Teardown empties tables by that name, so the build now refuses a Package table that sets
name.Acceptance run on a disposable sharded dev stack (own HOME and data dir, four Shards), with this branch, packages#72 and lyracore-cli#64 built locally:
