test(transfer): classify unit-keyed ownership tables - #445
Conversation
📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe character ownership tripwire now detects generic unit GUID fields, filters non-production source, validates per-table markers, and checks explicit exclusions. Tests cover classification, marker matching, source filtering, lifetimes, and exclusion consistency. ChangesCharacter ownership tripwire
Estimated code review effort: 4 (Complex) | ~45 minutes Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to The expanded ownership tripwire may still miss some Character-keyed tables and can mis-handle test-only tables when attributes are ordered differently, causing incorrect enforcement or CI failures. These correctness gaps should be fixed before merge; the header mismatch is minor. Sequence Diagram(s)sequenceDiagram

- Line 463: Update the classification logic around the bare-field condition and
character_capable_guid_fields so game_entity_motion_pending and
game_movement_violation explicitly exclude their bare guid fields with reasons,
while the census includes bare guid fields and still preserves the existing
game_corpse and game_dynamic_object exclusions.

@coderabbitai review The out-of-scope warning is a file-level false positive: the print, TTL, grid, issue-reference, and dead-code tripwires already exist on |

the relevant tripwire extraction function to walk item_start backwards across
contiguous preceding attributes before masking #[cfg(test)] items. Ensure
attributes such as #[table(...)] appearing before #[cfg(test)] are included in

Tables can identify a Character through generic unit fields such as
target_guid,attacker_guid, andsource_guid. The ownership Architecture Test only recognized three owner-specific names, and one marker could classify every table in the same file. A new table could therefore lose state during a Transfer without failing a test. The scanner now treats every non-object-specific
*_guid: u64field as able to name a Character. It requires a marker tied to that exact accessor or an explicitNOT_CHARACTER_OWNEDentry with the row's owner or lifetime. It strips comments, literals, and test-only declarations before scanning. Tests at the scanner boundary cover an unclassifiedtarget_guidtable, unrelated and prefix-sharing markers, comments and literals, lifetimes, test-only declarations, and the current table census.Validation:
