Confirm on a real client that the Warlock Binding quests summon a fightable pet objective #40
Expected (1.12.1). Accepting The Binding (quest 1689 or 1739) and using its reward item at the Slaughtered Lamb's summoning circle spawns a hostile Voidwalker or Succubus to fight; killing it credits the quest objective, and turning the quest in teaches Summon Voidwalker or Summon Succubus.
Actual (at 87109e3c). The code is done (PR #455). The ritual items summon the objective creatures as temporary, ownerless, hostile EventAI-driven creatures at the circle; ordinary combat grants kill credit, and the reward casts teach the pet-summon spells on turn-in. A Standalone test covers acceptance, the summon, the kill credit and the reward. Nobody has watched the ritual circle or the fight on a real client yet.
How to check. On a dev shard with the alliance-eastern import, accept The Binding from Gakin the Darkbinder in Stormwind, use the ritual item at the Slaughtered Lamb's summoning circle on a real 1.12.1 client, and confirm the circle renders, the Voidwalker or Succubus appears and is fightable, and turn-in teaches the pet-summon spell.
Done when. The observation is recorded here, with the client build and the commit.
