Multi-repo on v2: Open in VS Code opens the project folder instead of its .code-workspace #342

Closed

Description

@LoganRupe

On v2 multi-repo (#338), "Open in" gives the editor the bare project folder. For a project with a .code-workspace, VS Code opens team without the folders the file lists outside the project (../api) and without the names the file gives them. An isolated run opens its worktree container as a plain folder with the same losses. The pre-v2 branch opened the workspace file (#112, #125, #235, #294).

Repro: a project folder team holding team.code-workspace that lists web as "Web App", ../api as "API" and ../design as "Design". Open a thread and click Open in VS Code in the thread panel.

Expected: a "team (Workspace)" window with Web App, API and Design. For a New worktree thread, a generated workspace file that points each repository at its worktree and the other folders at the project.
