Problem / pressure

An empty settings catalog looked like a record card containing only a “nothing here” message. Roles, memory, MCP and Prompt Shortcuts need a clear empty presentation that reads well in desktop and mobile settings while preserving their existing copy.

Summary

Replace the empty records card with a centered Lody jellyfish illustration and the original localized copy. Preserve every existing message, instruction and punctuation mark; no new guidance is added. Share the presentation with existing catalog callers and an empty Project Skills inventory. Keep populated lists, loading/error conditions, permissions and existing add actions.

The illustration is a local transparent PNG with no embedded text, generated from the existing brand mark. It is decorative for assistive technology; the adjacent text carries the meaning. The generation prompt and bilingual implementation note are included.

Add real desktop and mobile Storybook fixtures plus browser coverage for placement, wrapping, image loading and existing add dialogs.

Visual explanation

DesktopSettingsModal / MobileSettingsLayout
└── Settings catalog
├── populated: existing records card and rows
    └── empty: SettingsEmptyList
        ├── decorative local jellyfish illustration
├── existing localized message and any existing hint
└── existing optional action (for example, GitHub installation)

All eight images are GitHub attachments; screenshot files are not tracked in the repository. Each before/after pair uses the same synthetic fixtures, viewport and palette. Before captures use the PR base's presentation source. Desktop images show the content pane at a 1180×800 viewport. Mobile images use the production MobileSettingsLayout at a 393×852 touch viewport. Personal profile chrome is outside the desktop crops.

Shared empty rows had no mobile capture coverage Desktop and actual mobile settings fixtures cover both palettes and preserve add dialogs

Test plan

  • Original copy: English/Chinese locale files and the Roles, MCP, memory and Prompt Shortcuts callers match the PR base verbatim.
  • pnpm format: passed.
  • Before/after screenshots cover desktop and mobile settings in both palettes, with the original copy preserved.
  • Desktop/mobile Playwright: all four cases passed after restoring the original copy. The local run allowed 30 seconds for Storybook rendering and used installed Chromium build 1223. pnpm check completed type checks and lint but exited with one five-second timeout in the unchanged iOS simulator panel test (5,742 component tests passed). Its entire 25-test suite passed independently. All 4,423 CLI tests passed, with four skipped. The complete root check is not green; translation-key and boundary guards were also run separately and passed.
  • pnpm run docs check retains the six known missing Kimi/Pi submodule links in the bilingual subagent-events note, with no new errors or protected-topic changes.

Context handoff

Internal same-repository branch. The owning bilingual note links the earlier settings rhythm decision and records the changed empty-state presentation. Screenshots contain repository fixtures only; no captured user conversations or private workspace data are included.
