Does this Docker image support SNMP communication with the UPS?

Hi, thanks for providing this Docker image for ViewPower!

I'm currently running this container on Ubuntu, with my UPS (PROLiNK PRO851SFCU) connected via USB.
I can access the web interface on port 15178 and see the UPS data correctly.

However, I'm trying to connect my Synology NAS to the same UPS using SNMP, and it fails with the error:

Cannot connect to the network UPS server.

So, I would like to confirm:

1. Does this Docker image include or expose an SNMP agent (port 161/UDP)?
2. If not, is there any plan or configuration option to enable SNMP support in ViewPower Docker?
3. Or is SNMP only available when using a UPS with a physical SNMP card?

• Host OS: Ubuntu 22.04
• Container: ggong5/viewpower:latest
• UPS Model: PROLiNK PRO851SFCU (USB connection)
• ViewPower Web port: 15178

No, this Docker image does not include an SNMP agent, and port 161/UDP is not exposed by default.

2. If not, is there any plan or configuration option to enable SNMP support in ViewPower Docker?

I’m planning to add optional SNMP support in the future so that users can access more features and integrate with other systems. It’s something I’d like to experiment with in upcoming updates.

3. Or is SNMP only available when using a UPS with a physical SNMP card?

As far as I know, SNMP communication currently requires a UPS with an SNMP network card.
However, another possible approach is to integrate net-snmp within the container, which I’ll explore — but it may take some time to test and implement properly.
