Getting Started

Follow these steps to set up the project locally.

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18+
• MongoDB Database (Local or Atlas)
• Google Gemini API Key

Installation

1. Clone the repository

   git clone https://github.com/yourusername/synergyhub.git
   cd synergyhub/main

   Note: The Next.js application is located within the main directory.

2. Install dependencies

   npm install

3. Set up Environment Variables Create a .env.local file in the main directory and configure the following variables:

   # Google Gemini API Key
   GEMINI_API_KEY=your_gemini_api_key
   
   # MongoDB Connection String
   MONGODB_URI=mongodb+srv://<username>:<password>@cluster.mongodb.net/synergyhub
   
   # NextAuth Configuration
   NEXTAUTH_SECRET=your_super_secret_key_here
   NEXTAUTH_URL=http://localhost:3000
   
   # Google Auth
   GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID=your_google_client_id
   GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET=your_google_client_secret
   
   # Email Configuration (Nodemailer/SMTP)
   EMAIL_USER=your_email@gmail.com
   EMAIL_PASS=your_app_password

4. Run the development server

   npm run dev

5. Open the app Visit http://localhost:3000 (or the port provided in your terminal) to see the application in action.
