Armor Trim Editor adds an "Armor Trim" format for painting Minecraft: Java Edition armor trims.

  • Exact armor model from the game client (helmet 1.0 + outer 1.5, chestplate 1.0, leggings 0.5/0.4, boots 0.9, mirrored left limbs); skin and reference armor are locked so only the trim textures get painted.
  • Live trim material preview (palette swap in the texture shader, including the _darker palettes), a palette highlight mode and a preview of "decal": true patterns.
  • Player poses/animations ported from HumanoidModel.setupAnim, default skins, skins from files or player names.
  • Smithing template icon generator, trim checks with one-click fixes, import from and export to a resource pack zip or folder (trim textures, icon texture/model, atlases/armor_trims.json, pack.mcmeta).
  • Datapack generator: a datapack zip with the trim_pattern (Minecraft 1.21.2 – 26.2) and lang names, plus an in-game usage guide (/give command and Bukkit/Paper snippet).
  • Armor icons: draw how the trim looks on armor items in the inventory (seven icons, previewed on every armor type and trim material, with generators) and export them in the format of the Visual Armor Trims resource pack: into Visual Armor Trims itself when the pack contains it, otherwise with item definitions built from the vanilla ones.

Notes for review:

  • Desktop only. It requests fs to read the user's own Minecraft client jar (default skins, armor textures, vanilla trims and template icons, nothing is bundled) and to write the chosen resource pack and datapack; shell is requested only when the user clicks "Open folder".
  • Exporting armor icons edits the armor item definitions (items/<armor>.json) of the chosen resource pack; nothing outside the chosen resource pack and datapack is written.
  • Network access: player skins are fetched from the Mojang API (fallback: mc-heads.net) only when the user enters a player name.
  • Uses Vue 2, three.js and JSZip bundled with Blockbench. English base strings with a Russian translation via Language.addTranslations.
  • Validated locally with npm run validate armor_trim_editor.
