CampusConnect is a modern MERN stack web application for campus communities. It enables students and admins to manage clubs, events, announcements, and real-time chat in a beautiful, secure, and responsive interface.

⚙️ Setup Instructions

1. Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/JaiswalShivang/CampusConnect.git
cd CampusConnect

2. Install dependencies

cd client && npm install
cd ../server && npm install

3. Environment Variables

Create .env files in both client and server folders:

client/.env

VITE_API_URL=http://localhost:4000

server/.env

MONGODB_URI=your_mongodb_atlas_uri
CLOUDINARY_CLOUD_NAME=your_cloud_name
CLOUDINARY_API_KEY=your_api_key
CLOUDINARY_API_SECRET=your_api_secret
JWT_SECRET=your_jwt_secret
PORT=4000

4. Run the app locally

Backend:

cd server
npm start

Frontend:

cd client
npm run dev
