ledring mcp starts a stdio MCP server so an agent can query its own traces.

Tool What it returns
list_sessions run metadata + step/tool/error/deny counts, newest first
get_drift instability score, level and top contributing steps per run
get_redwall Red Wall results + outcome counts (asked/stopped/retried/workaround)
get_branch_summary run count, forks, top fork points with divergence %; full: true for the tree
  • All tools are readOnlyHint: true, openWorldHint: false, never write files, and never return step raw/input/output. Parser errors aren't echoed, since they can contain trace content.
  • Adds @modelcontextprotocol/sdk and zod to @ledring/cli. No version bump, nothing published.
  • Tests: packages/cli/test/mcp.test.ts (in-memory transport, fixtures). README section with configs for Claude Code / Desktop / Cursor / Codex from a local build.

Local: lint, typecheck, build, pnpm test (40 files / 279 tests), i18n, capability contracts, motion lint, release dry-run all pass. Stdio smoke test against dist/bin.js mcp lists 4 tools and calls each one.

Four tools so an agent can check its own sessions: list_sessions,
get_drift, get_redwall and get_branch_summary. They reuse the existing
trace, instability, Red Wall and flowchart packages, never write files,
and never return step raw/input/output bodies. Strings are capped at 200
characters and lists are bounded.

Tests drive the server through the SDK's in-memory transport against the
fixtures. README covers setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and
Codex from a local build, since the CLI isn't on npm.
