some m4a files raise exception

Hi there,

i am getting the "Malformed MP4 file" exception on some m4a files, is it related to the previous issue in any way?

I'm also having this issue. A few observations:

• When I scan the file in a series with a bunch of other files, my app hangs when hitting the suspect m4a file, after showing the error in console
• If the file is the first in a folder of files to be scanned, the error is not shown in the console but the app still hangs. If it's in the middle of the list of files or at the end, the error throws and the app hangs.
• When I scan the suspect file on it's own, I still get the error, but the app does not hang
• If I remove the album cover from the file, it scans fine it it's own folder, but still hangs in a folder with other files (but does not show the console error when in the middle of this list of files to be scanned)
• This file's metadata can be scanned fine in other apps like a prototype SwiftUI app I'm working on, and other established music apps like iTunes/Apple Music/Rekordbox, etc... where the audio also plays fine (macOS 15.6.1).
