Hydrominder is a lightweight, native macOS menu bar application written purely in Swift. It lives entirely in your Mac's status bar (with no dock icon!) and keeps you hydrated throughout the day with smart reminders, a visual progress ring, and a 7-day history chart.
- One-Tap Logging — Log a glass of water instantly from the menu bar with a single click.
- Progress Ring — Animated circular progress indicator shows today's intake vs. your daily goal at a glance.
- Streak Counter — Tracks your consecutive days of hitting the daily goal to keep you motivated.
- 7-Day History Chart — Bar chart of the last week's intake, colour-coded green when the daily goal is met.
- Smart Reminders — Configurable notification reminders at 15, 30, 45, or 60-minute intervals.
- Customisable Daily Goal — Set your target to 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 glasses per day.
- Undo Support — Accidentally logged a glass? Tap the minus button to remove it.
- Midnight Auto-Reset — Today's count resets automatically at midnight without any manual action.
- Persistent Storage — Saves the last 30 days of history locally in
~/Library/Application Support/Hydrominder/. - Theme Support — System, Light, or Dark mode.
- No Xcode Required — Builds entirely from the terminal using a custom shell script.
- macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or later
- Swift 5.7+ (included with Xcode Command Line Tools)
