Uses Cura slicer variables ({material_bed_temperature_layer_0} etc.) so temperatures are pulled automatically from your slicer profile. Use this as your default in Cura for maximum flexibility across materials.
Sequence:
- Pre-heat nozzle to 150°C (softens residual filament, no ooze)
- Heat bed to slicer material temperature
- Home all axes
- Run UBL 4-point quick tilt correction + load mesh slot 0
- Fade mesh correction over 5mm
- Move to prime position
- Heat nozzle to print temperature
- Double prime line (relative extrusion — easy to tune)
- Reset and prepare for print
- Beep notification
Hardcoded for PLA at 210°C nozzle / 60°C bed. Use this when you want explicit control rather than relying on slicer variables.
Key PLA settings:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Nozzle temp | 210°C (215°C for PLA+) |
| Bed temp | 60°C |
| Fan | 100% from layer 2 |
| Retraction | 1mm @ 45mm/s |
| First layer speed | 25mm/s |
Designed for the enclosed heated cabinet build. Includes a 3-minute enclosure heat soak before homing to ensure thermal stability and prevent warping.
Key ABS settings:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Nozzle temp | 240°C (245°C for ASA) |
| Bed temp | 100°C (105°C for ASA) |
| Chamber temp | 45–50°C minimum |
| Fan | 0–20% max |
| Retraction | 1mm @ 45mm/s |
| First layer speed | 20mm/s |
| Heat soak | 3 minutes (adjust to taste) |
⚠️ ABS requires the enclosure to be closed during the entire print. Opening it causes thermal shock which leads to warping and layer delamination.
Works with any material. Retracts 1mm (appropriate for Sprite direct drive), presents the print, cools down, and disables motors.
Runs a brief full-fan blast after print completion to speed up cooling, then shuts everything down.
Slow cool sequence — critical for ABS to prevent warping:
- Fan stays OFF
- Bed holds at 60°C for 5 minutes
- Then bed turns off completely
- Double beep reminds you to wait before opening the enclosure
⏳ Wait 15–20 minutes after the print finishes before opening the enclosure.
Applied directly to the printer via SD card. Sets up:
| Setting | Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Brightness | 150 | M256 B150 |
| Power loss recovery | Enabled | M413 S1 — resumes print after power outage |
| Filament change | 200mm load/unload | M603 L200 U200 |
| Probe feedrate | 800mm/min | C851 S800 |
| Mesh insets | 5mm all sides | C29 L25 R195 F25 B195 |
| Mesh size | 5x5 grid | N5 |
| Mesh bed temp | 50°C | T50 — matches PLA bed temp |
| Bed dimensions | 220x220mm | C102 X220 Y220 |
| Build volume | 230x230x240mm | C101 X230 Y230 Z240 |
| Filament sensor | Active LOW | C412 M0 |
💡 Tip: For ABS printing, change
T50toT100in the mesh command so leveling happens at ABS bed temperature for more accurate compensation.
Apply themes via SD card. Each file sets the LCD colour scheme and saves to EEPROM.
| Theme | Description |
|---|---|
| Default | Stock Creality green |
| Blue | Cool blue tones |
| Grey | Neutral grey |
| Purple | Deep purple |
| Red | Warm red |
To apply a theme:
- Copy the theme
.gcodefile to the root of an SD card - Insert into printer and print the file
- The printer will apply colours, save to EEPROM, and reboot
- Open Cura → Printer Settings → Machine Settings
- Paste contents of
Ender3V2-Sprite-Start.gcodeinto Start G-code - Paste contents of
Ender3V2-Sprite-End.gcodeinto End G-code
- Create separate printer profiles in Cura for PLA and ABS
- Use
Start-PLA.gcode/End-PLA.gcodein the PLA profile - Use
Start-ABS.gcode/End-ABS.gcodein the ABS profile
| Issue | Old Behaviour | Improved Behaviour |
|---|---|---|
| Nozzle pre-heat | Cold during homing | 150°C during homing (softens residual filament) |
| UBL fade height | 10mm | 5mm (correction where it matters) |
| Retraction | 4mm total | 1mm + 1mm (correct for Sprite direct drive) |
| Prime line travel | Z0.03 (dangerous) | Z0.2 travel → Z0.3 prime |
| Prime extrusion | Absolute (harder to tune) | Relative (easy to tune) |
| Motor disable | Instant | 2 second delay (prevents bed drop) |
| ABS cooling | Immediate shutdown | Slow cool with bed hold at 60°C |
| Enclosure heat soak | None | 3-minute soak before homing |
- Sprite Direct Drive — retraction should be 1–2mm maximum. More causes grinding and clogs
- UBL Mesh Slot 0 — these scripts load mesh slot 0 (
G29 L0). If you save your mesh to a different slot, update this value - Power Loss Recovery — enabled (
M413 S1) in all start scripts and configuration file. The printer will resume a print automatically after a power outage - ABS Ventilation — ABS fumes are hazardous. Route enclosure ventilation outside your workspace, not into the room
- Heat Soak Time — the 3-minute ABS heat soak (
G4 S180) may need adjusting based on your cabinet's insulation quality
