Summary

  • Make AZURE_RESOURCE_GROUP the native Foundry/grounding root and route application resources through AZURE_APP_RESOURCE_GROUP.
  • Initialize new environments with separate Foundry, application and network groups through the normal root lifecycle. Preserve existing mappings and allow explicit equal names for one/two groups.
  • Persist and reload destinations before provider initialization, bootstrap only missing additional groups, and retain fail-closed immutable bindings.
  • Align application scopes, deployment/configuration consumers and ADR-0024 without changing the closed platform-outputs v1 schema.
  • Bind the published compatible component releases in manifest.json, the default application definition, pin tests and the exact reviewed graph projection; retain the historical protected fingerprints.

Coordinated delivery

Compatible runtime releases are published and pinned to their actual release commits:

The umbrella release follows this integration, then matching central documentation is published.

Scope application resources and deployment consumers explicitly, preserve existing mappings through versioned bindings, and initialize new azd environments before native provider setup. Keep the release manifest unchanged pending compatible component versions.
