Hi @anton-vinogradov@martin31821 , Kafka 4.x has dropped compatibility with older clients. We are currently evaluating how to address this issue. Most of our clients are still on versions below 4.x, so if AutoMQ upgrades to 4.x, we will need to maintain parallel development for two versions. We’d also appreciate hearing about your use cases.
Hi @daniel-y
In our case sticking to Kafka 3.9 for automq becomes troublesome as we're managing our clusters using strimzi-operator (v1 was released today and it support only Kafka 4.1+ so we're blocked on 0.45.x for now)
Its the same for us as for @Azyrys, we also use strimzi to manage our AutoMQ Clusters but cant upgrade the operator because AutoMQ does not support 4.x.
Was there any discussion or development on that topic?

We have a plan to upgrade to version 4.1 of the community, and the time will be synchronized in time.

I've a particular interest in knowing the 4.2+ due to some server-side stream rebalancing protocol and how consumers are affected by that.
