What happened?

compact session error not being able to compact session

open pawwork and in an old session cant text becuse this model not neded this time or i want a model that can access pdfs but it requires compaction to use

What did you expect to happen?

i expect the app to compact automatically when needed

Hi @omarelnanaie9900-netizen, thanks for the report. Being stuck in an old session because it can't compact is frustrating, especially when you just want to switch to a model that can read PDFs.

The next release, which we're preparing now, upgrades the underlying agent harness (DSH) substantially, and session compaction is part of that. After you update, could you try the same session again? If compaction still fails, a screenshot of the error plus %APPDATA%\PawWork\logs\main.log would help us a lot.

Thanks again, @omarelnanaie9900-netizen! A quick correction to my earlier reply: the log is at %APPDATA%\ai.pawwork.desktop\logs\main.log. I gave the wrong path before.

The latest release is 2026.9.13. If the issue still happens there, could you share the steps, a screenshot of the error, and that log? Please remove any API keys or private information before posting it.
