Thanks for the detailed log — it has everything needed to pin this down, and the app failing before the window ever loads is exactly the kind of first-run pain we don't want for anyone.

Reading to the bottom of the nested error, the real line is the innermost cause:

The bundled web search plugin imports five harness packages, and only this one fails to resolve. In a dev checkout the sidecar finds those packages through your own checkout: at startup we link the whole @deepseek-ai scope from packages/desktop-electron/node_modules into the DSH home (that is the @deepseek-ai junction you can see under C:\Users\Sathish\.pawwork\dsh-dev\node_modules\). Since the other four resolve, the link itself is fine — it is @deepseek-ai/schemastery that is missing on your side.

That package is declared directly in packages/desktop-electron/package.json ("@deepseek-ai/schemastery": "3.18.1", and the lockfile pins the same version), so this is not a dependency we forgot to ship. An install that was interrupted, a checkout whose node_modules predates that declaration, or node_modules that was moved afterwards (on Windows pnpm links with junctions, which do not survive a move) will all look exactly like this.

I also tried to reproduce it here: building a fresh DSH home from the current main and booting the sidecar loads the whole plugin tree and prints the web URL, with no schemastery or import failure. So I am fairly confident this is a local dependency tree rather than something in the code — but please tell me if the steps below do not fix it, because then I am wrong and I would like to know.

Could you try this

Run these from the repository root (C:\Users\Sathish\pawwork).

1. Check whether the package is actually there:

   Get-Item .\packages\desktop-electron\node_modules\@deepseek-ai\schemastery | Select-Object -ExpandProperty Target

2. Reinstall, whichever the previous step showed:

   git pull
   pnpm install --frozen-lockfile

   If step 1 printed nothing, or printed a .pnpm path that no longer exists, clear the tree first and install again:

   Remove-Item -Recurse -Force .\packages\desktop-electron\node_modules
   pnpm install --frozen-lockfile

3. Re-run pnpm dev:desktop. If the terminal shows whatever pnpm install failed on — a network or proxy error, a locked file, a Node version complaint — paste it here; that is the part I cannot see from your log.

One thing worth checking while you are at it: the template says PawWork v0.2.2, which is a v1 version number, but your log says 2026.9.8. If this checkout is old, a git pull before installing matters too — an older lockfile and the current package.json will not agree.

If you just want to get moving in the meantime, pnpm add -w @deepseek-ai/schemastery@3.18.1 will link it straight into the workspace so the current tree works, but please still do step 2 afterwards so your tree matches the lockfile rather than a patched one.
