Meshes missing

May I ask how to obtain the mesh files in the path of "genie_sim/source/geniesiim_ros/src/rosw_s/src/genies_im_robot_madel/robots/genie/g2/meshes"? Currently, they are all hosted by LFS, but the quota is running out and cannot be downloaded. I would greatly appreciate it if you could answer my question!

Hi @jhcharlotte, thanks for reporting this — your diagnosis is correct. The meshes are tracked with Git LFS, and our monthly LFS bandwidth quota was exhausted, which causes git clone / git lfs pull to return only the 130-byte pointer files instead of the actual mesh data.

We've just published a complete source package as a release asset, which does not consume Git LFS bandwidth at all, so this download will always work regardless of our LFS quota:

All 133 mesh files under the path you asked about are included with their real contents (note there were a few typos in the path in your report — the correct one is):

source/geniesim_ros/src/ros_ws/src/genie_sim_robot_model/robots/genie/g2/meshes

If you only need that one directory, you can extract just it:

⚠️ Please do not use the auto-generated "Source code (zip)" / "Source code (tar.gz)" links on the release page. GitHub creates those automatically and they contain only LFS pointer files, not the actual meshes — same symptom you originally hit. Use the -full.tar.gz asset above.

If you'd like to contribute code rather than just run the simulator, please clone normally (git lfs install first). Note that if your change doesn't touch mesh files, you can skip the LFS download entirely:
