It would be very useful if VirtualOS had support for VM snapshots, or at least a simple "restore to clean state" option.
My use case is mostly trying software that I don’t want to install on my main macOS system. For example, apps with large installers, beta versions, tools that change system settings, or software I only need once.
The ideal workflow would be:
- Start off with a clean VM
- Take a snapshot
- Install/test whatever I need/break it
- Revert the VM afterwards
Right now the alternatives are either keeping multiple copies of a VM, manually cleaning things up, or recreating the VM from scratch after a while.
Even support for just one snapshot per VM would already solve this for me.
