Publish paper to SSRN (Social Science Research Network)

Goal

Publish the LMD paper to SSRN for discovery, citation, and community feedback in the legal/social-science research community.

Context

• The paper is already live on Zenodo with DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21216085 (see .zenodo.json), and arXiv submission is tracked separately in Publish paper to arXiv (cs.DL) or alternative preprint server #9.
• SSRN accepts existing papers for distribution; a Zenodo DOI provides a stable citation and archival copy to reference in the SSRN submission.
• No endorsement needed — SSRN is an open self-submission preprint server, unlike arXiv cs.DL.

Why SSRN

• Broad interdisciplinary reach (law, economics, and adjacent fields that care about document formats and open metadata).
• Low-friction self-submission; complements arXiv/Zenodo rather than replacing them.

Tasks

• Prepare a submission package: PDF (paper/paper.pdf), abstract, author metadata, keywords, and the Zenodo DOI link.
• Create an SSRN account / sign in at https://hq.ssrn.com/submission.cfm.
• Submit the paper, selecting an appropriate subject area (e.g. Computer Science / Information Science & Library Science).
• Record the resulting SSRN abstract/paper ID back in this issue and link it from the repo README if desired.

Considerations

• Confirm licensing compatibility (paper is CC-BY-4.0; SSRN posting is generally compatible with CC licenses, but verify the SSRN submission terms).
• Decide whether to mirror the spec appendix or point SSRN readers to the Zenodo record for the full specification.
