Visual Studio 2015+ wants SHA256, and only SHA256.
Visual Studio 2013- wants SHA1, and only SHA1.
There are no scenarios (currently) where SHA384 or SHA512 will work with the VSIX installer. However, these options will be left there, but with a warning, should they ever become a viable solution.
