Not beeing able to install the application

So, i want termux-styling, to make my UI look like a Hacker. But, it wont install. The phone (google play protect) doesnt allow it to be installed. Here is the full message
"The app cannot be installed, because it was made for an older version of android and it doesnt have the latest privacy features"

Problem: Unable to Install "termux-styling" Due to Outdated Android Version and Missing Privacy Features

Steps to Resolve:

1. Disable Google Play Protect
   Google Play Protect may block the installation of apps deemed unsafe or outdated. Temporarily disable it to allow the installation:

   1. Open the Google Play Store app.
   2. Tap on your profile picture in the top-right corner.
   3. Select Play Protect.
   4. Turn off Scan apps with Play Protect.

2. Allow Installation from Unknown Sources
   Ensure that installing apps from unknown sources is permitted:

   1. Go to Settings > Security.
   2. Enable the option Unknown sources.

3. Manual APK Installation
   If the above steps do not work, try downloading and installing the APK manually:

   1. Search for the "termux-styling" APK
   2. Download the APK file.
   3. Open the downloaded APK file and follow the installation instructions.

4. Update Termux and Termux-Styling
   Ensure you are using the latest version of Termux and Termux-Styling. Updates may resolve the issue:

   1. Open Termux.
   2. Run the following commands to update Termux:

      pkg update && pkg upgrade

   3. Install or update Termux-Styling with:

      pkg install termux-styling

I installed v0.32.1 from F-Droid and when I click on More... > Style, it says The latest Termux:Style app version is not installed. and the Install button opens Google Play which shows v0.34 as the latest.

It would be very much appreciated if this version check wasn't there (or at least if it allowed the user to explicitly use the "older" version).

On another note, what's up with v0.34 being the latest (and behind a paywall), while this repo's latest is v0.32.1, same as on F-Droid?

@bmondream This is handled by Termux app and there is no Google Play link opened under normal circumstances.

From Releases, https://github.com/termux/termux-styling/releases v0.32.1 termux-styling-app_v0.32.1+github.debug.apk 34.6 MB Jun 22, 2024 can (apparently!?) be installed simply via adb:

Not entirely sure whether I've done anything w/manually copying the unpacked APK to /data/data/com.termux.styling (which got over-written with correcting Permissions, Mode, to: rwx------ (0700); & that's how I noticed it change(d), aanyway

EDIT: Also, BTW., the page at https://wiki.termux.com/wiki/Termux:Styling lists the function of the app, if it's to be done manually: replace font.ttf file, for the active font, and the other is colors.properties to control the color scheme. :)

Actually there are community scripts that replace function of Termux:Styling, example: https://github.com/adi1090x/termux-style - this one is quite old, but I guess there are newer with more fonts and themes.
