Hide Preferences when opening

Is there a setting to hide the Preference section at the top when opening a markdown file. This section takes up a lot of space and once the settings are set it would be nice to have the ability to hide it. When doing a quicklook in Finder it works great showing the rendered doc only. But some apps I use like Eclipse will launch the whole app not just do a quicklook. If possible, would be great.

As I have said several times, the application is not a Markdown file editor or viewer but is used exclusively to customize the QuickLook preview display settings.
