It would be great if we can save knob state to sort of have a preset thing happen… I’m interested in playing around with a Leslie simulator and saving the fast/slow speed would be a natural feature.

It's... not great that this is the only issue on this project and nobody has replied to you in six weeks.

Right at the moment where it's most critical for them to demonstrate how this community is going to function as an organism, too.
