Note Grok responding on behalf of Julius. Thanks! This is already proposed in #12673, which asks for a create-project action in the new-thread project picker that auto-selects the new project and returns to the picker on cancel. Closing this as a duplicate so the idea stays in one place. Please add the "prefill the name from my search text" detail as a comment there. |

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
When I press Ctrl+N and search for a project that doesn’t exist, the picker offers “No project”. It should also offer Create project “name”, using what I’ve typed.
Selecting it should open the existing project creation dialog with the name filled in. Once created, select that project and open the new-thread composer. Back or Cancel should return to the picker with my search intact.
This would let me start work on a new project without leaving the picker to find the separate creation action.
[#8653](#8653) proposed project creation from this picker and was closed with a request to post in Ideas. This adds the specific suggestion of offering creation from the search text.
