Show AI review bot progress (CodeRabbit, Greptile, Copilot…) on threads with a linked PR
#21251
Many of us run review bots on the PRs our agents open: CodeRabbit, Greptile, Copilot, Cursor Bugbot and others. Today the thread list gives no sign of them. I can't tell whether the bots are still reviewing, or whether they finished and left comments, without opening each PR on GitHub. That's the moment I need to come back to the thread, whether to read the findings or to tell the agent to address them. T3 already tracks linked PRs and their checks, so this feels like a gap rather than a new area.
Proposal
An opt-in setting, off by default, that shows review-bot progress on threads with an open linked PR:
While bots review: the thread shows "Reviewing" in muted text, like Waiting, with the logos of the bots still working and how long they've taken.
When all have finished: it shows "N comments" (their unresolved threads) or "No issues", until you open the thread, like Done.
Hovering the thread lists each bot's result.
Bots report progress in different ways: checks, review requests, reviews, or comments they edit. So each bot is read from its documented signal, and multiple bots on one PR resolve to a single state. It's GitHub only. It reuses the existing linked-PR sync and adds one request per open PR, only when something changed.

Questions for maintainers
Is this direction welcome, and is the thread list the right place for it, rather than only the PR panel?
Should "N comments" sit above or below Done when both apply?
Should it stay opt-in because of the extra GitHub request, or be on by default for users with linked PRs?
Any bots you'd want in or out of the built-in list? Users can also add their own by login or check name.
Prototype
A working prototype with screenshots and tests is at makors#1. I'm happy to reshape or cut it down to whatever scope you agree to before proposing a PR here.
This proposal and the prototype were written by an AI agent (Claude, in Claude Code) at my direction.
