Some threads are relevant on a regular schedule. For example, I might want a weekly planning thread visible on Mondays, or a personal project thread visible only on weekends.
One-time snooze means manually snoozing these threads again each time. I’d like an optional recurring rule that handles this automatically.
Examples:
Outside the selected window, the thread counts as snoozed, using the existing Snoozed section. When the window opens, the recurring rule stops snoozing it. When the window closes, it becomes snoozed again.
For an initial version, I’d propose:
The main behavior to agree on is how the rule interacts with manually choosing Wake thread and activity that normally wakes snoozed threads. My suggestion is to preserve visibility for approvals, questions, and failures, and agree on ordinary completion and manual overrides before implementation.
Related discussions include snooze that holds through activity #18017 and persistent automation threads #18039. This proposal focuses on recurring weekly visibility through the existing snooze behavior.
Would maintainers accept a contribution in this direction, and what scope would you prefer for an initial PR?
