use immich integration in a local-only setup

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get my paperless paper to show pictures from my immich server, that is only available in my local network. The paperless paper and the server are on the same network, yet when I try to configure the immich integration I only get an error indicating that 'immich couldn't be loaded'. Isn't it possible to use the integration in a 'local only' setup or am I getting sth wrong in my configuration?

To my knowledge right now, it doesn't seem to be possible. Without the offline firmware, the images are processed (i.e. dithered) on paperlesspaper AWS and pushed using AWS IoT core mqtt.
Hence to run it local, the whole pipeline needs to be local.
Yet, I'd be interested in a mix of cloud and local as well. Cloud for device management and cloud services like weather, while having the possibility to serve images or local content directly.
