Include space in character count

Like the title says, is there a way to include spaces in the character count? Maybe add a toggle in preferences so the user can choose between character counting with or without spaces.

Same here. I'm currently using MarkText and have encountered a very serious issue: the settings don't include an option to control whether spaces are removed or preserved. However, Typora has had this feature from the very beginning. I'm also quite annoyed by this problem, mainly because spaces are extremely useful. In documents, adding spaces often improves readability and presentation. But right now, spaces are not kept by default, and users cannot choose to retain them. I believe this option should be included as a basic feature, rather than having spaces automatically deleted.
