I saw the table of supported music providers and assume that for all I need a paid plan. Right? Or did I miss the relevant information for that?

Secondly is it planned to add amazon music (my only paid service at the moment)?

Hi @th-brinker — two good questions:

1. Do all providers need a paid plan?
Mostly, but not all. Beatify plays a specific song on demand each round:

• Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer — need a paid plan. Free/ad-supported tiers (e.g. Spotify Free) block on-demand single-track playback.
• YouTube Music — works with a free Google account (you'll just hear the occasional ad). Music Assistant's YouTube Music provider doesn't rely on the on-demand-restricted API the others use.

So if you'd rather not pay, pick YouTube Music in the setup wizard. (The README/FAQ wrongly lumped YouTube Music in with the paid-only services — that's being corrected.)

2. Amazon Music?
Unlikely, sorry. Beatify plays through Music Assistant, and Music Assistant doesn't support Amazon Music as a provider — so Beatify can't either. If Music Assistant ever adds it, Beatify would follow.
