Some app functionality seems disabled

Hi.
I recently just installed LVGL Pro today and I haven't even been able to use it.

Most UI elements are completely unclickable. I can't even open or create any new projects/files.

I tried restarting the window multiple times and closing the app but it still doesn't work.

I'm just stuck on this screen:

It'd be nice if I could get some help with this. This app seems very useful.

Unfortunately, no. The Output panel in the app doesn't seem to be working either and there's no output in the extension.

On the VS Code extension, I get the following error:

Unable to contact the licensing server

Error Code: NETWORK_ERROR

I selected the Free license.

I also noticed that when I visit my account's license page, it says that my free license expired on July 9th, even though I only created my account on July 20th.

The standalone application has the same issue as well. I have tried reinstalling it twice, restarting the application, and restarting Windows, but the problem persists.

I can provide any additional information or logs if needed.

I checked our database and noticed you haven't reached the license selector panel yet in our new editor (v2.0). It seems like something is blocking that for you. Are you using a firewall or any network settings that could be stopping the connection with our licensing server?

I don't believe I'm using any unusual firewall or network settings that would block the connection. I'm using the standard Windows 11 firewall, and I haven't configured any custom firewall rules for the application.

I actually tested the application on two different networks and got the same result on both. So I don't think the issue is specific to my home network or router. The same error occurs on both networks.

Is this the licensing panel you mentioned?

When i click on add or manage licenses, it takes me to https://lvgl.io/pro/account#my-licenses. That's where I saw the expired license.

It's definitely weird that you don't see any of the two options in the app:

• Community License
• Evaluation License

it's also odd that you have an expired community license. That shouldn't be possible in normal conditions.

I think the cleanest would be to delete your account and see what happens when you try to sign in/up again.

Signing out and signing back in doesn't change anything. I actually tried that earlier.

Also, this is my second LVGL account. My first account experienced the exact same issue, which is why I created this one. The problem has occurred on both accounts.

So far, the issue has been reproduced with:

Two separate accounts
Two different network connections
The standalone v2.0.0 application
The GitHub nightly build
The VS Code extension

All of them result in the same licensing/network error.

I found two previous GitHub issues involving licensing problems, one from May 12 and another from June 10.

While the symptoms aren't identical to mine, both suggest that there have been recurring issues with the licensing/session system.
In my case, the important difference seems to be that the license assigned to each new account appears to already be expired.

I have now tested three separate accounts,across multiple computers and each one has shown an expiration date in the past. The expiry dates have all been July 6.

This makes me wonder whether the issue may be occurring during license provisioning or expiration-date calculation, rather than being caused by my local installation or account.

The previous issues appear to have been resolved by signing out and back in, but that does not resolve my issue because the license itself appears to be expired.

I also noticed v2.0.1 was shipped about two days ago. I noticed that when I opened that version, it showed an eula page which I had not seen before, I was able to load one of the example projects but the issue remains the # same from that point forward.

I also tested v2.0.1 on Linux using the provided AppImage, to determine whether the issue was specific to Windows. The same licensing issue occurs there as well.

I launched the application from the terminal and found the following relevant log entries:

Since this was a fresh Linux installation, the missing deviceid file may be expected on first launch, but I thought these logs might help identify where the licensing flow is failing.

I checked the Linux configuration directory after reproducing the issue:

No deviceid file is ever created.

The application logs repeatedly show:

I also verified that after authentication and waiting for the application to run, the file still does not exist.
