Hi! I'm experiencing the exact same behavior as described by @balgerion. The menu offset increases proportionally as the cursor moves toward the right edge of the screen.

My environment:

OS: Debian 13 (Trixie)

Kando Version: 2.2.0-beta.1 (installed via .deb package)

WM: Hyprland

Portal: xdg-desktop-portal-wlr is active and running

Technical details from hyprctl monitors:

Scale: 1.00 (The issue persists even without display scaling)

Reserved area: 0 41 0 0 (I have a 41px top margin reserved for Waybar)

Resolution: 1920x1080

I've tried running with --ozone-platform=wayland and various windowrulev2 (size 100%, move 0 0), but the proportional offset remains. It seems the coordinate calculation doesn't account correctly for the cursor position relative to the screen width in Hyprland.

Is just the initial position wrong but the interaction works as expected? Or is every mouse click in the menu shifted as well?

The initial position is retrieved using hyprctl cursorpos here. This is then modified here. I would guess that this.webContents.getZoomFactor() returns something other than 1.0 for you for some reason. Maybe someone of you could run Kando from source and add a console.log(this.webContents.getZoomFactor()); there to check this?

I'm not sure if the root cause is the same, but I've also encountered the menu offset issue on Niri:

The issue becomes apparent when adjusting the display positions in the output configuration. Unlike the original poster's experience on Hyprland, the offset distance here remains constant/fixed.

My problem is that it appears in any cursor position and from the center of the screen, the cursor shifts to the side. The menu works correctly, but it specifically shifts when launched. In the console, it gave me: window.devicePixelRatio 1.25

@ClixTW: This is something different, maybe related to #347. If executing Kando with --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland does not help, please open a separate issue.

@xxxSgyshenka Do you have set a different menu scale in your config? If so, does this change anything?

The menu scale doesn't change anything. I've shown the cursor controls in more detail in the video just now.

That's interesting. Then there must be some other setting on your system which causes electron to think that it should render at a higher resolution... For instance, one thing which comes to my mind is the text-scaling factor. What does gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.interface text-scaling-factor return for you?

In the terminal: ~$ gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.interface text-scaling-factor
1.25
Yes, the problem was solved with the command "gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface text-scaling-factor 1.0." I had this setting for text size. Scaling needs to be disabled for the Kando menu.
