hold modifier for repeated actions

Description

i have a "mouse 4" or "Alt + left" action (it returns to the previous link) for Firefox and sometimes i would like to use it twice... we need a condition for not closing the pie-menu! that could also work with "hover-mode" by disabling it while the modifier (or set the chosen key) is held

Yeah, that would be nice. Although I do not have a clear idea how this could work without interfering with Turbo Mode. How exactly do you imagine this to work?

i guess we'll need to define a (global?) modifier for acting as the "holder" key. when on held, the pie-menu works as the default mode (user needs to click on the menu to activate) but the menu actually never closes, unless the modifier isn't being pressed...

with turbo-mode, when the modifier is held it gets disabled and the moment user releases the key, it returns to normal and depending where user is with their mouse, it activates that item according to stablished turbo rules?

instead of having a modifier on hold (which for some people it may not be ergonomic), what if we have something to do with the open proposal of adding functionality for the center item? it was suggested as a repeat last action but could also act as a lock functionality for repeating commands...

if we use a modifier, input will need to take consideration and remove the modifier from the OS temporarily? i don't know how this could work actually... sometimes i use hotkeys emulation while holding a modifier before selecting an item, as they do sligthly different stuff on software i use. e.g. a Ctrl + V item that if i activate with Shift held on my behalf, it will paste the content in another buffer in Gimp

Another alternative would be to use middle-mouse click.

In any case, we are locking out touch users from this feature. But well, maybe that's ok...
