remove old cruft and modernize site with CI deploy, updated CDNs, etc

  - add GitHub Actions workflow to auto-deploy on push to source
  - remove dead Universal Analytics (UA-140260727-1); GA4 stays
  - remove Disqus (config, includes, comments front matter from 12 posts)
  - fix dead rawgit CDN → jsDelivr for Computer Modern fonts
  - update KaTeX 0.10.2 → 0.16.28, Vega-Lite v3 → v5
  - remove jQuery (unused), IE=edge meta tag
  - delete stale files (analytics.txt, Gemfile.lock.rubyv2bkup)
  - add .ruby-version, .DS_Store to .gitignore
  - clean up _config.yml, footer, README
