What would it take to add support for haptic feedback into the firmware? The Steam Controller, Steam Deck, and Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in my experience leverage it to help with gyro feedback, as well as with capacitive touch feedback. This can also be used for alternate operation of thumbsticks as digital 4/8 way sticks to simulate the feeling of "notches" or a "gate".
The intention is that while the controller is perfectly functional right now and isn't a critical feature, I still think it would be a welcome option for people who would want to have a more complete experience catered to their liking with feedback. Rumble support in games would also be a nice to have that would be easily worked in.
The type of module I'm referring to more specifically are haptic actuators, or the "speaker" type modules similar to what a Steam Controller, Switch JoyCon/Pro Controller, or DualSense controller has.
At the very least and at a quick search and glance, Pimoroni and Tinkersphere sell some currently cheap and easily sourceable options.
