Hi Ishaan, This sounds like a good plan. I think what will be tricky for you is ensuring this site gives a cohesive picture of you -- you have a couple different interests right now, so you'll want to ensure your areas of focus are somewhat unified. That is, you might want to avoid giving someone the impression that "Ishaan does finance and math and NLP and..." because you're then unlikely to leave a memorable impression. Instead, consider something like "I am fundamentally interested in using NLP techniques to preserve under-resourced languages. I also see some applicability of these methods to finance."
Also, a common model for sites like this is to have a home page where you briefly describe who you are, and then 1 main projects page where you highlight several key projects you've worked on (there may be a sub-page for each project under this page). Generally it's a good idea to avoid a complicated or big sitemap for a personal page, since people often don't spend a lot of time on personal pages.

<p>I'm a fifth-year student at the Illinois Institute of Technology studying applied mathematics, data science, and artificial intelligence. My work lives at the intersection of mathematical structure and language. I use stochastic modeling, graph theory, and NLP to understand complex systems, from modeling groundwater markets to preserving under-resourced languages.</p>
<p>Growing up across cultures gave me fluency in English, Hindi, Urdu, Mandarin, Spanish, and Arabic, and a deep curiosity about how languages encode meaning differently. That curiosity drives my passion for NLP and my interest in low-resource language preservation. Outside of academics, I produce electronic music, study South Asian history and philosophy, and am always picking up a new language.</p>
<p>I'm currently a research assistant working on groundwater rights modeling with Dr. Igor Cialenco.
