CYD constantly rebooting.

Hi everyone. I'm using the esp32-2432s024c variant of the CYD and I'm trying to get the Galagino.ino sketch to work.
The sketch compiles but the screen remains blank. However the serial monitor output it shows the esp32 constantly
rebooting with the following errors displayed:

That board seems like it should be compatible. But it seems the Galagino sketch doesn't even start running. This in turn suggests that this problem has nothing to do with the Galagino per se.

Are you able to build and run other sketches using the same settings? E.g. does some simple hello world run? Make sure you are using the exact same setting in the arduino-ide you are also trying to use for Galagino.

What do you mean by settings? I've run other sketches on the CYD (video and touch) and they run fine. My concern is the
last line: E (203) i2s(legacy): "CONFLICT! The new i2s driver can't work along with the legacy i2s driver." It seems the sketch
is loading 2 incompatible i2s libraries. One "#include <driver/i2s.h>" which is deprecated is loaded in the Galagino.ino sketch, but I can't find where another i2s library is loaded.

Trying to help, are you sure you're using the right drivers? ILI9341 or the ST7789. Backlight pin is also very important. The 2.8 version uses pin 21 and the 2.4 uses pin 27.
Also check for I2S driver conflicts - the error message shows the legacy and new I2S drivers are conflicting, which causes the reboots.
It's a while ago, but I made several of these nice arcade cabinets and I struggled to get them going in the beginning. All related to these above factors. Here is proof that galagino works on all the screens. In this little video the first one is the 2.4 screen (kudos to survival hacking), the second one is the one that Gavin Knight made, and the third one is a personal mashup from both of them but on a 2.8 CYD and a small SSD1306. I seem to have have run into a few problems while trying to get it going, I think its the same display as your.
It says "ESP32-2432S028". I think it is a capacitive touch screen. Ordered a few weeks ago from Aliexpress.

First I downgraded the ESP32 board firmware to v3.1.3 to get around some compilation problems in another issue.

I went through the README again and in the CYD section, there's Important notice 2 which mentions broken I2S/DAC support so I downgraded to 2.0.9 as suggested, recompiled and it boots now. Some settings in config needed for the screen to show up right but otherwise seems ok. Still need to connect the nunchuck and speaker to test properly.
