Timeout when deleting big projects or nodes

Problem

There is a project with too many versioned nodes inside (200 x nodes with 15k versions). This project or its nodes are not able to be deleted. Operation puts the cms instance into a deadlock and makes its API unresponsive.

Reproducer

trying to delete nodes or project reproduces the problem.
