first of all, thank you for your work on Raven.
We are currently evaluating an upgrade and wanted to ask about the current status and roadmap of the project.
As far as we can see, the latest commits on both the develop and main branches are from June 18, 2026. The latest stable release, v2.8.11, was published on April 17, 2026.
We noticed that there are fixes in the newer code that would be useful for us. In particular, there appears to be a fix that allows a message to be sent by pressing Enter immediately after entering or pasting a link into the chat editor. Previously, pressing Enter directly after a link did not send the message.
We would like to upgrade to a version containing this fix, but there has not been a new stable release for several months.
For us, it is important to use a messaging platform that is actively maintained and continues to receive updates, bug fixes, and security improvements. We therefore need some clarity about Raven’s future development before planning further adoption and upgrades.
Could you please provide a brief update on the current plans for Raven?
Is another stable v2 release planned?
Is there an estimated timeline for the next release?
Is active development moving to the v3-alpha branch?
Is main still the recommended branch for production use?
Should users wait for a tagged release instead of deploying from one of the development branches?
We understand that plans and priorities can change. A brief clarification of the current maintenance and release strategy would be very helpful for our planning.
