Open Site and Login as Administrator doesn't work

• When I try to login as Administrator shows error and tells "Could not log in as admin".
• Also when I click on Open site button it doesn't open the and navigate to the destination.

1. Open Pilot → Sites → mysite.com.
2. Click the three-dot menu.
3. Click Login as admin.

Initially, Safari showed the toast “Could not log in as admin” and no new tab opened. Creating the Administrator session directly on the server succeeded, so the Frappe session generation itself was working.

This appears related to browser popup handling: the login URL is requested asynchronously before window.open() is called, so Safari may block it because it is no longer considered a direct user action. Allowing popups/retrying after updating Pilot made “Login as admin” work.

It would also help if the toast displayed the actual API/popup error instead of only “Could not log in as admin”.

Hi @abdullla00,

If you are in development mode, either use <anything>.localhost for local site creation or run

pilot --site <site_name> add-to-hosts

Else, browser can't resolve this. We can't automate this either in site creation due to root access requirement.
But, if that's the case, we can add some hint in UI.
