Data views > Create a data view
- What the docs say: Start typing in the Index pattern field, and Kibana looks for the names of indices, data streams, and aliases that match your input. You can view all available sources or only the sources that the data view targets.
- What to add: If you choose to mention the preview size, add that the matching-sources list can show up to 10,000 names. Do not add this number unless users need the limit. Applies from 9.6.0 and in serverless.
