From fe7afdd8da9fba90f713a311ad3cc16846b3ebda Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Prakash Surya Date: Mon, 10 Aug 2026 14:33:18 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] TOOL-30782 declare the python3-setuptools build dep setup.py imports setuptools without it being declared as a build dependency, so the build relies on something else pulling it in. That holds on noble's Python 3.12 and stops holding on 3.14, which no longer ships it: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'setuptools' Declaring it is a no-op here and removes the implicit dependency.
