Omnia Air-Gap and Cluster Lifecycle Validation Plan
-
End-to-End Air-Gap Validation
Validate the complete Omnia deployment and operational workflow in a fully air-gapped environment.
Ensure all required repositories, packages, images, and dependencies are available locally, with no dependency on external connectivity.
-
Cluster Power Cycle Validation
Deploy the cluster successfully using OIM and complete all post-deployment validation steps.
Since OIM does not currently support cluster power-on or power-off operations, perform a full cluster shutdown using the recommended operational sequence.
Power off the OIM appliance after all cluster components have been shut down.
Perform cluster startup using the recommended startup sequence, including OIM and cluster infrastructure components.
Validate cluster health and functionality after startup.
-
Node Addition and Deletion Validation After Restart
Following the cluster startup validation, perform compute node addition and deletion operations on the deployed cluster.
Verify successful provisioning, configuration, Slurm registration, and cluster reconciliation for newly added nodes.
Verify successful node removal and cleanup from both the infrastructure and Slurm perspectives.
Validation with Masquerading Disabled (all our nodes are in the LOM and internet is not reqired)
Ensure network masquerading (NAT) is disabled in OIM.
Execute deployment, cluster lifecycle, node management, and Slurm operations to validate functionality without masquerade-based networking.
