How to cancel paperless update script?

I tried updating to paperless 3.x but saw the warning about encrypted files. I tried to cancel the update

but I can't stop it. Meanwhile paperless is unavailable.

Its just an Endless-Spinner (Only UI) because the wrong function (msg_info). There is nothing happen (stuck at msg, no code changes). CTRL D or Restart Terminal Shell.

Sadly this also kills the paperless service and does not come up again. I had to restart the lxc (easiest way)

thats nearly impossible. With this msg is directly an "exit 0" - the services are dont stopped with this part.

Well I have to tell you: I had to restart my lxc to be able to access paperless again :)
